Esther Povitsky

A fixture of the L.A. comedy scene, Esther Povitsky can be seen on Hulu’s second season of "Dollface," starring alongside Kat Dennings and Shay Mitchell. Esther also co-created, co-stared and executive produced the Freeform show "Alone Together," which premiered in January 2018.

In 2017, Esther was named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” and performed at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, returning to the showcase that helped to launch her career as a New Face in 2013. Her first comedy special, "Hot For My Name," premiered summer 2020 on Comedy Central.

She’s had recurring roles on "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," "Love" and "Difficult People." Additionally, she guest stared in "Brooklyn 99," "Workaholics," "Key & Peele" and "Lady Dynamite."

Esther hosted the Above Average/Tru TV series "Cocktales with Little Ester," a sex-positive talk show for women, and had a beauty- and health-centric podcast, "Glowing Up," with Caroline Goldfarb, where the two went on a journey to find their inner glowly goddess. She currently co-hosts the podcast "Trash Tuesday" with Khalyla Kuhn and Annie Lederman.

Great things come in little packages. Esther Povitsky – known to many as Little Esther – has had the comedy industry buzzing. She has jumped to the next level as a series regular on “Crazy Ex Girlfriend" and "Dollface." She continues to flourish as an actress, stand-up and podcaster -- she's a co-host of "Trash Tuesday." This show is her second headlining appearance at the DC Improv, following up on a sold-out debut in 2019.


All sales are final. Refunds and exchanges are offered only when a show is canceled or rescheduled.


Admission Policies

  • Please note: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. Senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting our establishment, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
  • Patrons must be 18 or older to attend events or classes at the DC Improv. Any exceptions are clearly noted in the event descriptions.
  • There is a two-item minimum per customer. This can be any combination of food items or beverages. Bottled water and soft drinks count as items. (The two-item minimum does not apply to comedy classes.)
  • Coupons or passes for free admission cannot be used for a show listed as a "special event."

Seating Policies

  • Matinees, the first show of any evening in our main showroom and all shows in our lounge showroom are seated by time of arrival. The earlier you arrive, the more options you'll have. Please note that the size of your party can affect what options are available to you, as certain tables and areas are designated for larger parties.
  • "Late shows" in the main showroom have assigned seating. Assignments are made in order of ticket purchase. Generally speaking, the earlier you buy tickets, the closer you will be to the stage.
  • If tickets are designated as being at a "reserved table," your party will have a table to itself. For general admission tickets, if your party does not fill an entire table, you may be sharing a table with other patrons.
