Lounge Showroom

Bad Medicine Presents Sketch Night

with Bring Your Own Bob and Homeless Fireparty

Sketch comedy takes over our lounge showroom, courtesy of DC's favorite troupe. While entertaining the DMV for a decade, Bad Medicine has also been showcasing around the country. Now they're bringing in some of their favorite performers from DC and beyond, presenting them in the city's top comedy spot. About Bad Medicine: The Bad Medicine Show is high energy sketch comedy with a bent toward the dark, absurd reality of life. Each show brings you new hilarious characters, videos, music, and of course sketches about situations you hope you'll never be in. They love to give folks an evening of laughter, but deep down, Bad Medicine is simply a group of friends trying hard to forget the political town they live in.

Bring Your Own Bob

"Bring Your Own Bob" is a vibrant, sweet yet grotesque, and beyond bizarre sketch, improv and musical comedy duo living together in NYC. Just when they thought they’d reached their friend quota, Seann Cantatore and Nicole Pascaretta (BYOB) met at Magnet Theater (NYC) in 2019 and have been sequined soulmates ever since. BYOB has performed at many festivals including the New York Musical Improv Festival and the Detroit Women of Comedy Festival. Their side hustle as TikTok Content Creators has earned them the highest badge of honor: going viral. Most notably, they scored a weekly residency at Their Living Room Floor in March of 2020. Homeless Fireparty

Inspired exclusively by the comedic stylings of DC's Bad Medicine, Homeless Fireparty is a DC sketch group who performs their signature blend of absurd characters, sketches, and videos across the District’s finest stages. Their comedy focuses on being funny. Currently, they are considering changing their name based on occasional feedback from YouTube's Community Guidelines. If you have a suggestion for a name for a three-person experimental comedy group, please have your people contact our people @homeless_fireparty.

Admission / Seating Policies

  • At the request of the artists, patrons for these shows must present either proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative COVID test result (no more than 72 hours old) to be admitted to the showroom. "Proof of vaccination" can be a completed vaccination card or a readable photo of that card saved to your phone.
  • Please note: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. Senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting our establishment, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
  • If your party does not fill an entire table, you may be sharing a table with other patrons. The exception is when a ticket is clearly listed as "table for 2," "table for 4," etc. In those cases, your party is guaranteed to have a table to itself.
  • Passes cannot be used for any show listed as a "special event."
  • There is a two-item minimum per customer. This can be any combination of food items or beverages. Bottled water and soft drinks count as items. (The two-item minimum does not apply to comedy classes.)
  • Patrons must be 18 or older to attend events or classes at the DC Improv. Any exceptions are clearly noted in the event descriptions on dcimprov.com.
  • For our main showroom, the first show of any night is the "early" show. All other shows are "late" shows.
  • Early shows in the main showroom are seated by time of arrival. The earlier you arrive at the club, the greater your seating options will be. Please note that the size of your party will also affect what seating options are available to you, as certain tables and areas are designated for larger parties.
  • Late shows in the main showroom have assigned seating, and assignments are made in order of ticket purchase. The earlier you buy tickets, the better your seats will be (i.e. closer to the stage).
  • For our lounge, all shows regardless of start time are seated by time of arrival.
