In an instant, you travel from a state of fluidity to a mess of frustration and ask yourself, “How did I go wrong?” or “Now what?” These masterclasses provide methods and exercises that teach you to connect to your partner and the scene without worrying about the rules. Pick up and join the fun!
Play the Moment: A moment means a pause, a reflection between lines of dialogue. It gives you time to embrace the silence and respond truthfully to what's happening in the scene. A moment can also indicate a profound change to the scene. In this workshop, you'll recognize the power of playing a moment and allow yourself to feel the impact of silence. Prerequisite: Level 2 or higher or permission of instructor and principal.
About the Instructor: David Razowsky studied, performed, taught, and directed at Second City with fellow performers Stephen Colbert, Steve Carrell, and Michael Keegan-Key, among many others. He went on to serve as Artistic Director of Second City Hollywood for nine years before turning his attention to full-time coaching. He has directed and taught his methodology to individuals and groups in the US and worldwide.
