NY-based standup comedian, writer, and actor Tim Dillon is having a breakout year. Rolling Stone recently named him one of “Ten Comics You Need to Know” and Vulture declared “Tim Dillon is a comic you really remember.” He is currently developing his own half-hour TV series with Comedy Central based on his Real NY Tour, which takes the audience on a double decker bus through Manhattan. The popular live show has enjoyed multiple sold out dates including runs at The New York Comedy Festival two years in a row. In July 2018, Tim’s episode of Netflix’s standup series The Comedy Lineup premiered with The New York Times describing him as a “bruising comic with contempt for conventional wisdom.” His half hour standup special premiered on Comedy Central in October 2018 with Paste Magazine offering “Dillon (has) a spirit that no one else in the comedy scene has.” In addition to his TV and standup projects, Tim also hosts his own popular podcast Tim Dillon Is Going To Hell and has appeared on several other top-rated podcasts including The Bertcast, Death Sex & Money, and The Adam Carolla Show. He recently won the title of 'NY’s Funniest' at The New York Comedy Festival, and he was a standout at the 2016 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in the 'New Faces' category. He appears as a frequent guest on several Sirius XM shows including The Bonfire, Bennington, Jim and Sam, and The Howard Stern Wrap-Up Show.

Rahmein Mostafavi

Rahmein Mostafavi charms crowds with comic timing and charisma developed during a decade of live performance. He addresses social and political topics with a combination of satirical and observational comedy, leaving audiences with a greater sense of purpose, sex appeal and the occasional leg cramp.

Rahmein entered the stand-up world after working as a longtime cast member of “Shear Madness,” the acclaimed Kennedy Center improv/comedy whodunit. His natural joke writing ability, combined with his acting chops, have won him rave reviews in both the Washington area and around the country. He also produces events under the “Cool Cow Comedy” banner, bringing live comedy to venues in Maryland and Virginia.

Rahmein has shared the stage with some of the best comics in the nation, including Dave Attell, Jake Johannsen, Artie Lange, Bert Kreischer, Rich Vos, Jon Lovitz, Tim Meadows, Joe Matarese, Bob Marley, The Sklar Brothers, Jen Kirkman, Red Grant, Godfrey, Joe Torry, Kyle Kinane, Finesse Mitchell, and Maz Jobrani. He has been featured at the Laugh Your Asheville Off comedy festival, The Devil Cup, Red Clay, The Cleveland Comedy Festival, and the Cape May Comedy Festival. Rahmein has been seen on FOX, heard regularly on Sirius XM, was featured in “The Truth About Money” on PBS, and was honored to be a speaker at the world famous TEDx Talks.

Born in Iran, Rahmein moved to the United States with his family at a very young age. He currently resides in Northern Virginia.

Chelsea Shorte

Originally from Richmond, Va., Chelsea Shorte discovered comedy as a way to stave off the boredom of being a beautiful twenty-something. Since first taking the stage as a stand up and improviser, she has flourished and has further applied her creative drive to storytelling,podcasting, sketch writing, acting, and drag performance. Her stand up material ranges from riffs on the low bar for allyship to dating or even pythons in the Everglades. Check her out as a co-host of the Tagg Nation podcast, taggnation.com. Admission Policies

  • Patrons must be 18 or older to attend events or classes at the DC Improv. Any exceptions are clearly noted in the event descriptions on dcimprov.com.
  • There is a two-item minimum per ticket. This can be any combination of food items or beverages. Bottled water and soft drinks count as items. (The two-item minimum does not apply to comedy classes.)

Seating Policies

  • For our main showroom, the first show of any night is the "early" show. All other shows are "late" shows. Early shows are seated by time of arrival. The earlier you arrive at the club, the greater your seating options will be. Late shows have assigned seating, and assignments are made in order of ticket purchase. The earlier you buy tickets, the better your seats will be (i.e. closer to the stage). Click here for a more detailed explanation of seating policies.
  • For our lounge, all shows regardless of start time are seated by time of arrival.
