Kara Klenk

Kara Klenk is a stand up comic, writer, and actor who grew up in Connecticut, currently lives in Los Angeles, and started her comedy career in New York City. She was named by Time Out New York as one of the Top 10 Funniest Women in NYC. Kara has appeared on Netflix, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, Oxygen, Hulu and more. She has written for Netflix, Nickelodeon, MTV, TVLand, and Comedy Central and most recently for "RuPaul’s Drag Race" on VH1 and "Wipeout" on TBS.

Her debut album, "Undefeated," was released in 2019 and went to #1 (briefly) on the comedy charts. She co-hosts a popular podcast called "That’s Messed Up: An SVU Podcast" on the Exactly Right Network. She also produces and hosts a weekly stand up show called Better Half Comedy in Los Angeles.

Liza Treyger

Liza Treyger is a stand-up comic who most recently was seen recurring in the Netflix series "Survival of the Thickest." Additionally in film and television, she has appeared in Jordan Peele’s "Nope," the Judd Apatow movie "The King of Staten Island," and HBO's "Pause with Sam Jay." Liza has Netflix and Comedy Central half hour specials and has appeared on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," "Chelsea Lately," "@midnight," "Lights Out with David Spade," "This Is Not Happening," "Horace and Pete," and many more fun things. She and Kara Klenk co-host "That's Messed Up," a podcast about " LAW & ORDER: SVU. What makes Liza most proud is she regularly performs at The Comedy Cellar and The Comedy Store.

Admission Policies

  • Please note: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. Senior citizens and people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. By visiting our establishment, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
  • Patrons must be 18 or older to attend events or classes at the DC Improv. Any exceptions are clearly noted in the event descriptions.
  • There is a two-item minimum per customer. This can be any combination of food items or beverages. Bottled water and soft drinks count as items. (The two-item minimum does not apply to comedy classes.)
  • Coupons or passes for free admission cannot be used for a show listed as a "special event."

Seating Policies

  • Matinees, the first show of any evening in our main showroom and all shows in our lounge showroom are seated by time of arrival. The earlier you arrive, the more options you'll have. Please note that the size of your party can affect what options are available to you, as certain tables and areas are designated for larger parties.
  • "Late shows" in the main showroom have assigned seating. Assignments are made in order of ticket purchase. Generally speaking, the earlier you buy tickets, the closer you will be to the stage.
  • If tickets are designated as being at a "reserved table," your party will have a table to itself. For general admission tickets, if your party does not fill an entire table, you may be sharing a table with other patrons.
