Bad Medicine

with Cam Wyllie

Inspired by Saturday Night Live, Bad Medicine is DC's premier sketch comedy troupe. Trained by the Upright Citizens Brigade and Second City, their comedy focuses on the absurdity of life. For more than half a decade, Bad Medicine has performed at North American festivals like Montreal Sketchfest, NYC Sketchfest, Chicago Sketchfest, and Sketchfest Seattle. They also produce award-winning short comedy films, and a podcast about the craft of sketch comedy called Sketch Nerds.

Cam Wyllie

Cam Wyllie is Canada’s beloved Sketch Comedy Maniac, with 3 Canadian Comedy Award Nominations, Festival Appearances all over North America, and a bunch of Comedy Awards with made up sounding names. He’s proud to bring you another showcase of the brave, tragic, and always hilarious characters that have populated his sketches throughout his career -- A real who's who of dummies with good intentions.

Cam is an alumni of Legacy Troupes Smells Like The 80s & O Dat Dum, and has performed at Toronto Sketchfest as part of of 32 Short Sketches About Bees, Fun Car, The Jelly Boys, Oops it’s Chris and Cam, and even more wacky comedy combinations if you can believe it. His comedy videos have piled up tens of thousands of clicks and has been showcased on Vulture.com and Funny or Die, so yeah, he stays busy.

Other Showtimes

After a sold out DC Improv debut in 2019, Bad Medicine is back for more in 2020! The Bad Medicine Show is high energy sketch comedy with a bent toward the dark, absurd reality of life. Each show brings you new hilarious characters, videos, music, and of course sketches about situations you hope you'll never be in. They love to give folks an evening of laughter, but deep down, Bad Medicine is simply a group of friends trying hard to forget the political town they live in.

All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.

Admission Policies

  • Patrons must be 18 or older to attend events or classes at the DC Improv. Any exceptions are clearly noted in the event descriptions on dcimprov.com.
  • There is a two-item minimum per ticket. This can be any combination of food items or beverages. Bottled water and soft drinks count as items. (The two-item minimum does not apply to comedy classes.)

Seating Policies

  • For our main showroom, the first show of any night is the "early" show. All other shows are "late" shows. Early shows are seated by time of arrival. The earlier you arrive at the club, the greater your seating options will be. Late shows have assigned seating, and assignments are made in order of ticket purchase. The earlier you buy tickets, the better your seats will be (i.e. closer to the stage). Click here for a more detailed explanation of seating policies.
  • For our lounge, all shows regardless of start time are seated by time of arrival.
