Ian Lara

Ian Lara is a superbly talented Dominican-American stand-up comedian from Queens and one of the hottest rising comics in NYC. His sets touch on themes of growing up with immigrant parents, being unsure about his race and his born-again Christian father. Ian was also just named one of Variety’s 2023 10 Comics to Watch. He appeared on Comedy Central's Stand-Up Featuring and was a regular player on "This Week at the Comedy Cellar" (where his set has garnered over 10 million views on Facebook). He was featured in season one of "Bring The Funny" on NBC and made his late night television debut on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in 2019. In 2020, Ian performed his first 30- minute special for HBOLatino's Entre Nos titled "LA Meets NY," followed by being named a 2021 JFL New Face of Comedy. Ian was recently selected as one of Freeform's Black & Freeform Honorees and was also named one of "10 Lesser-Known Great Black Comedians" by Screenrant. His Comedy Central half-hour special "Growing Shame" debuted on YouTube in February 2022, followed by his HBO Special "Ian Lara: Romantic Comedy," which was released in November 2022 and is currently streaming on Max. Ian has been featured on Charlamagne Tha God’s "Hell of A Week" and recently made his third stand-up appearance on "The Tonight Show." He is currently developing a half-hour single cam project with Chelsea Handler’s company.
